MSGenWeb hosts are generous and hard-working.
But we we need your help!

Do you have material or information collected in your research
that you would like to contribute to help fellow researchers and cousins?

Our experienced hosts will help you determine whether the material or information can be published online.  When needed, we'll help scale photographs and maps, and otherwise assist in readying material for online presentation.
You will receive full credit for your submission(s), you will retain copyright on original material, and you will always have the option of removing the material, should you decide to at a later date, though we hope you don't.  :-)
Sound like a win-win situation?
It is!

Contact your County Coordinator, or the State Coordinator today!

Due to large file size, GEDCOM submissions cannot be accepted.
Please touch base with Coordinator prior to sending files.
Each county coordinator has the final determination as to what is appropriate
for placement within a county.  Please trust their good judgment!

Lauderdale County

Lauderdale County has managed several updates for the month of November including an update to several of our family pages.

The Asa Boswell family page has been updated to include photos and new information about the family.

A 1900 Meridian Star newspaper article has been added introducing the new family page of the Jack "HellFired Jack" Woodrick family. Jack was a very colorful railroad engineer of the 1850s and the article, a somewhat exagerated account -- we don't really think he threw his fireman into the furnace when he ran out of wood, offers an interesting introduction to the family page.

Lastly, Lauderdale County now has its' own discussion board (aka Forum). Lauderdale folks are invited to visit the forum and post genealogy, historical information or just engage in discussions in general about Lauderdale County.

November 29, 2007

Greene County

Greene County has a new coordinator! Added a What's New? page. Added several search engines to the county; a regular search engine, a mailing list search engine, a message board search engine and an archives search engine. Also added a Green County on the Web Page to link the many sites devoted to Greene County. Also added a page for McManus Post Office, one of the historical towns no longer in existence.
